Church Bowling League...
It is time to start the new season! If you like to bowl and would like to be on the United Methodist Bowling League, please call Beth at 752-3545 or Millie at 752-5721. Our league starts in October and ends in March. We bowl every other Saturday at 1:30 PM. All ages are welcome, and you do not have to be a pro-bowler. We just want everyone to have a good time and get to know each other in our church. - Millie Cooper
Defibrillator Training...
On September 12th at 11:30am, the Scott County Ambulance Service is coming to do a demonstration of our Automatic Electronic Debrillator (AED) for anyone who would like to attend. This will be held in the Fellowship Hall.
Fall Bible Studies...
Our Fall Bible studies will begin on Sunday, September 12 at 6:00 PM and Wednesday September 15 at 9:30 AM. Both studies will be identical and will last one hour. Each study will meet weekly for eight sessions this fall. Our study book will be “Christianity’s Family Tree: What Other Christians Believe and Why,” by Adam Hamilton.
Cost is $10.00 each and you may obtain books from Pastor Steve on Sundays or from Beth in the church office through the week. This promises to be a wonderful study looking at eight different Christian denominations, what they believe biblically and historically. In our Bible studies we enjoy great fellowship. We uphold one another in prayer and we learn much from each other.
Ponderosa Receipts...
We are still collecting ponderosa receipts. We receive 5% of the total receipt. Please ask the cashier to stamp your receipt 5% Club. You may turn them in to the office via offering plate, by mail, or the box on the office door. Please remember to have them stamped. We cannot get credit for unstamped receipts.
