HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS...
It’s that time to plan for our Christmas Food Baskets. Each basket will cost approximately $30.00 and contains a turkey, bread, potatoes, eggs, fruit, vegetables, flour, butter, milk and a dessert. We can give as many baskets as we have sponsors. If you, or a Sunday School class or group would like to sponsor one or more baskets, please turn in your money to the church office no later than November 24th.
If you cannot sponsor an entire basket, any donation is welcome toward the cost of a basket. A envelope will be in the November 16th & 23rd bulletin for your convenience. If you have any questions, please call Beth at the church office. 752-3545
PLEASE NOTE: All of our names come from the Clearinghouse. We cannot take names in the office. If you know of someone that would like to receive a basket this year, please have them call the Clearinghouse

MOUNTAIN MISSION TRUCK...
The Mountain Mission Truck will arrive at our church on Monday, November 17th. Please bring your items to the south side porch on Saturday, November 15th and Sunday, November 16th.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD...
5th, 6th, and 7th Graders
Sunday School Class will be sponsoring
"
Operation Christmas Child". There are several ways for you and your family to get
involved.
"Packed Shoe Box"...
School supplies: pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or makers, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books.
Toys: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos,
harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small etch-a sketch, toys that light up or make noise (include extra batteries), slinky, etc.
Hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, wash cloth, etc.
Other: hard candy and lollipops (double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (include extra batteries).

HANGING OF THE GREENS...
Sunday, November 30th * 6:00 PM *Decorating the church for the Christmas Season* Come and enjoy good fun & fellowship.
Bring finger foods to share - drinks will be provided.
SCRAPBOOK WORKSHOP...
A free Scrapbook Class will be held on Saturday, November 8th at the church from 10:00-2:00 PM. The class is held for ages 12 –112.A light lunch will be provided.There will be no child care available.
Bring your own albums (any brand), pictures and etc.there will be no items for purchase.of tools will be available.There will be door prizes for the first registered that attends, and also for those registering and bringing a guest.
Other door prizes will be given out also. Reservations may be made by calling the church 752-3545 or calling Jeannie Carlisle 889-2044 by Wednesday, November 5th. The class is open to the public.
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN...
The United Methodist Women will meet on Thursday, November 13th at 7:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Program: Maud Roy Gray; Devotions: Martha Bonsett; Refreshments: Rosie Alsup & Liz Richardson. ALL LADIES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!
MEN'S CONFERENCE...
The Scott County Men's Conference will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 8:30am - 2:30pm at The Knights of Columbus.
THANKSGIVING SERVICE...
The Scott Area Ministerial Assoc. will hold their Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 23rd at 7:00 PM at World Outreach Church. John Lowry will bring the message with his chalk drawing. Everyone is invited to attend.
SPRUCE-UP DAY...
We will have a “Spruce-Up Day” at the church on Saturday, November 15th starting at 8:00 AM. With lots of help, this should only take a couple hours. Bring rakes, shovels, gloves, etc..... Everyone is invited to come help.
CLEARINGHOUSE URGENT NEEDS...
Urgent needs are: Peanut Butter, Canned Fruit, Bar Soap.
DISHES, POTS, PANS...
We have lots of these left from Smorgasbord, Funeral Dinners, etc…. Please check out the cart in the foyer to pick up these items. Also if you took food to the Cravens family, your dishes are here at the church.
